Dwyane Wade Stands Up for Players at NBA Lockout Discussions
Last Friday, reps for all the NBA players and the owners met up in New York to discuss that whole small little lockout thingy that may or may not cripple the upcoming NBA season that is slated to start in less than a month. Reports were that Dwyane Wade got into a little heated discussion with Mr. David Stern, you know, the commish aka the HNIC of the NBA. Word was that they were shouting at each other.
David Stern had a different side to the story and simply said “I would guess that neither of us remember, but there was a heated exchange of some kind. I feel passionately about the system that we have and what it has delivered and what it should continue to deliver for the players and the owners. And he feels passionately too.”
Heat owner Micky Arison also downplayed the “heated accusations” by saying it was just a friendly exchange.
Well, one things for sure. If the two sides don’t agree to something during today’s discussions or sometime this week, regular season games may very well start getting canceled.
