BRIAN SCHOTTENHEIMER LET GO BY NEW YORK JETS.....MY BROTHER DAVE IS ONE HAPPY DUDE RIGHT NOW

This was probably inevitable.

Late Tuesday night, the New York Jets announced they will not retain the services of offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer for 2012. New York finished 8 and 8 on the season, and ranked 25th overall in offence.

According to ESPN, he’s expected to be replaced by former Miami Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano, and an announcement should be made according to the team, Wednesday.

Schottenheimer was the Jets’ coordinator for six seasons, and assisted Rex Ryan since his head coaching duties started 3 years ago. Ryan stated publicly that he wanted Schottenheimer back for 2012, but clearly didn’t get his wishes.
