Goodfellas' TV show in development at AMC
Mad Men, meet angrier men… with guns. AMC is in the early stages of developing a series based on Martin Scorsese’s Oscar-nominated film Goodfellas, EW has confirmed. Nicholas Pileggi, who along with Scorsese co-wrote the 1990 film and wrote the book of which the movie was based, is set to executive-produce along with Jorge Zamacona, who served as a producer on Homicide: Life on the Street (and briefly on Oz), original Goodfellas producer Irwin Winkler, and David Winkler.
Goodfellas, which starred Robert De Niro, Ray Liotta and Joe Pesci, was nominated for six Oscars in 1991, including Best Picture.
