MARLINS MANAGER OZZIE GUILLEN SUSPENDED FOR FIVE GAMES OVER “I LOVE [FIDEL] CASTRO” COMMENTS

Well, if you’ve followed the Miami sports world for the last couple days, or shit, if you’ve followed anything in the anti-Castro circuits, then you should know that Miami Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen has been in hot water over some comments he made to Time Magazine last week. In short, he basically told the publication that he loves Castro and respects the retired Cuban leader for staying in power so long.

A press conference was held this morning where Guillen kept insisting he was sorry and would do whatever he could in his power to repair his relations with Cubans and Cuban-Americans that were angered by his statement. The Marlins also suspended him for Five Games and denounced his comments, as well as stressed the sensitivity to his statement.
