Very Sad 19 Firefighters Killed Battling Arizona Wildfire
VIA: Nineteen firefighters were killed for battling a fast-moving wildfire menacing a small town in central Arizona late Sunday.
YARNELL, Ariz. — Nineteen firefighters were killed battling a fast-moving wildfire menacing a small town in central Arizona, the U.S. Wildland Fire Aviation service said Sunday.
The firefighters died fighting the Yarnell Hill Fire, near the small town of Yarnell about 80 miles northwest of Phoenix, the service said in a Facebook post.
"It has been confirmed that 19 Wildland Firefighters have lost their lives on the Yarnell Hill fire Arizona. ... I ask for prayers for the families and friends of these brave men and women," the post said.
Forestry spokesman Art Morrison says the firefighters were caught by the fire Sunday afternoon. He says they were forced to deploy their fire shelters.
Mike Reichling told the Arizona Republic that firefighters were involved in a "serious incident."
The newspaper reports that one of the firefighters has been located.
The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office has notified residents in the Peeples Valley area and in the town of Yarnell to evacuate.
Roxie Glover, spokeswoman at Wickenburg Community Hospital, told The Associated Press that the hospital has been told to expect residents with injuries and firefighters.
Earlier Sunday, the fast-moving fire prompted evacuations of 50 homes in the Buckhorn, Model Creek and Double A Bar Ranch areas about 85 miles northwest of Phoenix.
In the afternoon, the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office expanded the evacuations to include residents in the Peeples Valley area and in the town of Yarnell.
The wildfire also forced the closure of parts of state Route 89, the Arizona Department of Transportation announced. The department did not have an estimate of how long the closure would last but advised drivers to use U.S. 93 or Interstate 17 as alternate routes.
The Red Cross has opened a shelter at Yavapai College in Prescott, the sheriff's office said.
The Yarnell Hill Fire now covers nearly 2,000 acres, according to the newspaper.
The fire started Friday but picked up momentum Sunday as the area experienced high temperatures, low humidity and windy conditions.
About two hundred firefighters are now working at the fire, but an additional 130 firefighters and more water- and retardant-dropping helicopters and aircraft are on their way.
In another Arizona fire, a 2-acre blaze that started at a motorcycle salvage yard and spread to a trailer park has destroyed five mobile homes in the Gila County community of Rye, located more than 130 miles east of Yarnell.
Gila County Health and Emergency Services Director Michael O'Driscoll said no one was injured in Rye.
The fire was ignited Saturday night at All Bikes Sales located off Highway 87. It spread to neighboring federal Forest Service land but was fully contained within 12 hours of its start.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Seven adults and two children were staying at a shelter set up for people who were evacuated, the Red Cross said.
Jay-Z Reveals The Lyrics For 'La Familia’ - Wayne Diss?
Jay-Z keeps the momentum going by releasing the lyrics for "La Familia," a track featured on his upcoming album, Magna Carta Holy Grail.
Addressing a few topics from his lyrics to the NFL investigation, the main focus is what seems like shots towards Lil Wayne ...
"Nigga wanna kidnap wifey / good luck with that bruh / You must gonna hide your whole family / what you think we wearing black for / What you think we wearing black for / Ready for that war / ready for that war ready / you ain't ready yo, you radio", raps Jay-Z
Back in 2011, Wayne took shots at Beyoncé threatning to kidnap her on "It's Good"
"I got your baby money / Kidnap your bi**h, get that how much you love your lady money."
These Leaked Pictures Of The Budget iPhone Are Very Colorful
VIA: It’s looking very likely that the so-called “budget” iPhone will be announced in September. In reality, it will be less budget than mid-range, costing about $350 before contract subsidations.
Even so, that should be enough for carriers to sell for $0 with a two-year contract, strengthening Apple’s presence in the market.
We’ve heard before that the budget iPhone would come in an iPod-style assortment of colors, and now new pictures purport to show exactly what the rear shell of the budget iPhone will look like.

Patriots Allowing Anyone With A Hernandez Jersey To Exchange It At The Pro Shop For Another Player
VIA: The New England Patriots are allowing fans who purchased an Aaron Hernandez jersey to trade it in for another jersey…no questions asked.
The exchange offer is for two days only, July 6 and 7, and must be done at the at the Patriots Pro Shop. The exchange will be allowed only for Hernandez #81 jerseys. (Hernandez wore #85 his rookie year.)
We know that children love wearing their Patriots jerseys, but may not understand why parents don’t want them wearing their Hernandez jerseys anymore,” said New England Patriots spokesperson Stacey James. “We hope this opportunity to exchange those jerseys at the Patriots ProShop for another player’s jersey will be well received by parents.”
The Patriots Pro Shop is at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA, and exchanges can only happen there during normal business hours.
LMFAO Taking Lunch To New Heights! La Guardia Airport Worker Drives Stair Car To Pizza Joint
NYPOST: This would make the Bluth family proud.
A grinning La Guardia Airport worker took a lunchtime joyride in an “Arrested Development”-style stair car — even though the wacky contraption isn’t allowed on city streets.
The driver, a regular at a nearby pizza joint, was spotted cruising in the Southwest Airlines vehicle on 19th Avenue and Hazen Street at 12:30 pm on Saturday.
But just because Michael Bluth rolls in a staircase-on-wheels, doesn’t mean normal people can.
“It is not legal to drive on a public street,” a DMV spokeswoman said.
The vehicle displays a Port Authority license plate marked “A 3537” — which permits driving only on airport premises.
“This is not acceptable behavior,” Steve Coleman, a Port Authority spokesman. “We will immediately begin to identify the offending vehicle and driver and will take appropriate action.”
Southwest spokesman Chris Mainz apparently disagreed, saying, “Nothing unusual or out of protocol on this one.”
Jason Bateman, who plays Michael Bluth in the hit show, saw no humor in the life imitating art.
“I get what you’re trying to do. But you know I can’t comment,” he told The Post. “And please don’t call me. Do you understand? You have to go through a publicist. It’s totally unprofessional.”
Action Bronson Bodyslams Stage Crasher in Boston....LOL
VIA: On the same evening the Boston Celtics completely blew their team up, one Action Bronson “fan” will forever remember the show he attended tonight. While Bam Bam was wrapping up the first verse of “Pouches of Tuna” some random dude decided to be “that” dumbass and crashed the stage. Little did he know, he’d be met with a leg sweep and body slam from the Queens-born emcee. This is awesome!
Eminem Terrified As Daughter Begins Dating Man Raised On His Music
VIA: ROCHESTER, MI—Hip-hop artist Marshall Mathers, a.k.a. Eminem, said he was left wholly terrified today after meeting his daughter Hailie’s new boyfriend Justin Denham, an 18-year-old who was reportedly raised on the rapper’s music.
Saying he could barely fathom the thought of Hailie, 17, with a man who ever enjoyed listening to, or was inspired by, his often misogynistic and violent lyrics, Eminem, 40, claimed he was disturbed from the second Denham said he was “a huge fan” of all of the rapper’s seven albums.
“Justin said I was his favorite artist when he was growing up, and now he wants to go out with my little girl,” said Eminem, telling reporters he didn’t even want to imagine what Denham’s views on relationships could possibly entail given his self-professed love of albums that include songs about mutilating women. “Honestly, I don’t really know what I’m supposed to do here. How am I supposed to let Hailie go out with a guy who says I was a huge influence on him and all of his friends?”
“I mean, this guy’s probably listened to my song ‘Kim,’” Eminem continued. “I rapped about cutting my wife’s throat and then driving around with her in my trunk in that song. Jesus.”
Citing lyrics where he discussed raping a woman with an umbrella to “make her p**** wider,” the visibly shaken multi-platinum artist said he can’t imagine sitting by while his oldest daughter spends time alone with a man whose worldview could have been even slightly influenced by any of his songs.
Eminem added that while Hailie has repeatedly claimed Justin is a “good guy who treats her well,” he seriously doubts anyone who likes the song “Kill You,” where he brutally describes killing a woman and hiding her in a closet, could ever be a decent person.
“His favorite song is ‘Superman’—a track where I said I was going to put anthrax on a girl’s tampon and slap her until she can’t stand,” said Eminem, adding he could only imagine the types of drugs and alcohol songs like “Purple Pills” and “Crack A Bottle” had led him to do. “He better not think he can get away with all this stuff with Hallie. Or maybe he does. I mean, this is a guy who was listening to me rap about beating women ever since he was just a kid.”
“And his parents let him listen to it?” Eminem continued. “What kind of house was that? I don’t even want to think about what kind of people they are.”
Eminem went on to say he was even further dismayed when Denham said he also grew up listening to artists such as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Ludacris, and told reporters he could only imagine the sorts of relationship lessons he pulled out of music like “Bitches Ain’t Shit” and “Move B****.”
“At this point, I suppose it would be ideal for Hailie to date someone who never listened to any one of my songs, ever,” said Eminem. “Why can’t she find someone who listened to music that wasn’t about having sex with prostitutes and then painting a room red with their blood?”
“Jesus,” Eminem added, “I have to go find my daughter right now.”
Former teammate: “I have never believed in anything Aaron Hernandez stood for.”
Dayton Daily – I’ve known Matt Light a long time and I have never – and I mean NEVER – heard him speak ill of another player, not even a defensive linemen like the New York Giants’ Osi Umenyiora with whom his classic battles in the NFL trenches have included some extra-curriculars after the whistle. But Tuesday when I asked the former New England Patriot star tackle about his old teammate – tight end Aaron Hernandez – his easy smile quickly vanished and he went silent for several seconds as he decided what, if anything, he would say. “I never talk about other guys, but I will say I have never embraced – never believed in – anything Aaron Hernandez stood for,” Light finally said. The recently-retired Light – who won three Super Bowl rings and went to four Pro Bowls in his 11 year career – insinuated that Hernandez, with whom he played alongside for two years, has always had his own agenda – and it wasn’t a good one. Light now sounds prophetic.
