Here Are All Your New Aaron Hernandez Stories Of The Day

He says he isn’t in a gang and Sheriff Hodgson claims he’s a model inmate

(Herald) – Accused killer and ex-Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez told Bristol County correction officers examining his heavily tattooed torso for telltale gang signs that he has never been a member of any street gang, Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson told the Herald. “He talked to our gang
investigators and said he didn’t have any involvement,” Hodgson said yesterday, adding that his gang unit is still investigating the matter. “We always take extra precautions. We don’t have any definite issues at this point, but we’re still being very cautious,” Hodgson said. Hodgson said that so far, Hernandez has been a
model inmate. “He’s been very polite, very respectful. He doesn’t seem nervous, which is
unusual for someone who’s never been incarcerated before,” he said. “He now has three hours out of his cell each day. That’s an hour outside, by himself, an hour to shower and make phone calls, and another hour to see visitors.”

He busted a bartenders eardrum in ’07 and cops suggested he be charged with a felony. Wasn’t prosecuted, some suspect because of an important Gator football donor.

(WSJ) – As prosecutors prepare to try former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez on murder and gun charges, new details have emerged about a 2007 bar fight at the University of Florida that suggest the incident was far from trivial. According to a 2007 police report obtained Monday by The Wall Street Journal, Hernandez had a brush with the law at Florida before he’d even played a down. On May 4, 2007, only months after Hernandez had enrolled at Florida, he showed up at a restaurant called The Swamp near Florida’s campus in Gainesville, Fla., a two-story bar and grill that features framed jerseys of former Florida stars.According to the police report, here’s what took place: A waitress brought Hernandez two “alcoholic drinks.” After Hernandez finished the drinks, a restaurant employee named Michael Taphorn delivered a bill. Hernandez said he hadn’t ordered the drinks and refused to pay, at which point a “verbal altercation” began between the two men. After stepping outside, according to the report, Hernandez told police Taphorn “got in his face” and began yelling at him. As Taphorn turned to walk away, Hernandez punched him in the side of the head—a fact Hernandez did not dispute.Taphorn complained of hearing loss in his ear but refused medical treatment on the scene, the report said. The next day, however, doctors discovered his right eardrum had burst.

That fight where he busted someone’s eardrum? Guess who tried to break it up. Yeah, Tim Tebow

(OrlandoSentinel) – Tim Tebow tried to stop Aaron Hernandez from getting into a violent bar fight in 2007 while both were football players at the University of Florida, according to Gainesville police records. Hernandez, then a 17-year-old freshman, punched a bouncer in the head causing a broken ear drum on April 28, 2007, according to the police report. When a police officer could not find Hernandez at the scene of the altercation around 1 a.m., the report states he interviewed Tebow about it. “Tebow stated that he witnessed the dispute,” the officer wrote. “… Tebow stated that he went over to try to help resolve the conflict.” Tebow went on to say he urged Hernandez to leave peacefully and tried to make arrangements to pay the bill. Two hours later, another officer found Hernandez and spoke with him about the incident. Tebow was present during the interview. The officer wrote Hernandez did not appear to be intoxicated and was, “very polite and professional.” Hernandez told the officer both he and Tebow had already called then-UF football coach Urban Meyer and informed him about the incident.

The police frequented his house in California due to domestic violence calls and parties until 4 AM. Neighbors describe him as a nightmare.

(TMZ) - Aaron Hernandez’ fiancée called cops on him just a few months ago when he punched a window in their house, and bled all over the place … TMZ has learned. Sources tell us the incident went down at their rented home in Hermosa Beach, CA … where Aaron and some buddies were partying from 4 PM to 9 AM. We’re told when Hernandez and Shayanna Jenkins began arguing — because she wanted to pull the plug on the party — Hernandez put his fist through a window. His hand was cut badly enough that there “was blood everywhere.” We’re told Jenkins called police in a last ditch effort to break up the party. Law enforcement sources tell us cops have been to the house multiple times — and that Hernandez “had no regard” for anyone who complained about his all-night parties. The word neighbors keep using to describe him is … “nightmare.”
