Jay-Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail Debuts #1 On Billboard
As if there was a chance that this wasn’t going to happen, Jay-Z lands his 13th #1 album as MCHG sold 528k in its first week on shelves*. Add that to the Platinum certification that the RIAA has already honored and I think it’s safe to say Hov is doing alright for himself. And for folks keeping tabs at home, J. Cole sold another 38k (#3) and Kanye’s Yeezus tallied 28k (#6).
* A number that beat out both of Hov’s latest efforts in The Blueprint 3 (465k) and Watch the Throne (476k).
