Three Staten Island Dudes Get Busted Impersonating Cops So They Could Skip The Line To Buy GTA V

NYDailyNews – Three bozo gamers pretending to be cops cut the line to buy the new Grand Theft Auto V video game – only to have their virtual reality shattered by real police officers who busted them, authorities said. Kirolos Abdel Sayed, 19, Matthew Kirshen, 20, and Frank Santanastoso, 19, all cruised to the Staten Island Mall in what looked like an unmarked police car — complete with lights and sirens — just after midnight early Tuesday morning, cops said. Once there, Abdel Sayed — an auxiliary volunteer with the 122nd precinct — and Kirshen both flashed phony badges while Santanastoso showed off a tattoo of a police shield to convince mall security they were on patrol, sources said.

The three line-cutters made a beeline for the gaming store after they were let in by security and bought themselves a copy of the game — skipping about 500 people who had been waiting patiently outside for hours, sources said. Inspired by their new purchase, the bootleg cops hopped back in their phony police car, made an illegal U-turn and blew several stop signs before being pulled over by a real cop in an unmarked car, authorities said. “I’m with NYPD,” said Abdel Sayed who was not working as an auxiliary officer at the time, sources said. Kirshen told cops he borrowed a friend’s badge, sources said. All three were arrested and charged with impersonating a police officer.
