Johnny Manziel Voted For Jameis Winston To Win Heisman

VIA: Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel has received his fair share of criticism for perceived immaturity and his care free attitude, but he showed some maturity and responsibility when it came to his Heisman vote.

While many players would be tempted to vote for themselves, Manziel took an honest look at the season and cast his vote for the eventual winner, Florida State’s Jameis Winston.

Not only did Manziel vote for Winston ahead of him, but he voted for Boston College running back Andre Williams at No. 2. Manziel came in at No. 3 on his own ballot.

Winston was certainly the most deserving player for the most prestigious award in college football, so it was great to see him get his moment on the big stage. Now, he will turn his attention towards beating Auburn in the national title game.

For Manziel, he will begin heavily weighing his decision on whether or not to declare for the NFL Draft. One thing is for sure, however, and that is that he has grown as the season progressed and he proved that tonight.
