Justin Bieber was arrested Thursday in Miami. The pop star was booked on several charges, including DUI and driving with an expired license.
VIA: Justin Bieber was released Miami-Dade County jail Thursday after being arrested on charges of drag racing while drunk and high before dawn.
The 19-year-old pop prince waved and smiled at a gaggle of fans as he walked out of the jail just after 2 p.m. and into a waiting car.
He was released from custody after posting $2,500 bail.
Earlier, the “Baby” singer, wearing orange jail clothing, flashed a big glassy-eyed grin as cops took his mug shot and booked him. But was “crying his eyes out” in the detention center, a source told People magazine.
Bieber was busted at 4:11 a.m., driving a rented yellow Lamborghini with 21-year-old fashion model, Chantel Jeffries, in the passenger seat, a Miami Beach Police Detective Vivian Hernandez told the Daily News.
“For his DUI charge it’s going to be a combination of alcohol and narcotics," she said.
Justin Bieber was arraigned in Miami court on Thursday afternoon. His bond was set for $2,500.
The green-eyed Jeffries, a 5-foot 6 Wihelmina model who sports a 32-23-35 body, was also taken into custody but not immediately charged, cops said. She has a reputation as a Miami bad girl, having been arrested at least five times before, once for driving 92 mph in a 70 mph zone.
“Something about the shock factor,” Jeffries tweeted hours before her arrest from a men’s basketball game between the University of Miami and the Duke Blue Devils.
Bieber was stopped near the 300 block of 41st St., near Pine Tree Drive in Miami. He was driving a rented yellow Lamborghini and going “up to 60” mph in a residential neighborhood where the speed limit is 30.
He reportedly blew a .04, which would not make him a drunk driver if he were 21 years old, but Florida law indicates the singer could face an automatic license suspension for being underage and blowing above a .02, according to TMZ.
His entourage blocked off local streets to create a make-shift drag strip for him, Hernandez said. A police report described at least four black Cadillac SUV's blocking roads in front and behind two sports cars, causing backed up traffic.
A member of his group, aspiring musician Khalil Amir Sharieff, is confirmed as the other racer. He was also charged with a DUI and released on $1,000 bail.
Bieber was seen driving with a woman, identified as model Chantel Jeffries, in Miami on Wednesday night.
A source close to the Canadian singer told The News that the other car - Sharieff's red Ferrari - was pulled over in front of Bieber at the scene. No one was injured.
Sharieff, 19, had "droopy eyes" and his "speech was slow" when cops approached his car, according to a police report. The arresting officer was "met with the odor of marijuana" coming from the car.
After being transported from the racing scene, Bieber was escorted into the Miami-Dade County correctional facility by four police officers. The "Boyfriend" singer wore a black hooded sweatshirt, black leather shorts and red sneakers, and his face was covered as he avoided cameras. Sharieff was escorted to the jail by only one police officer.

Photos of Bieber in his car hours before the bust were apparently taken down from his Instagram page before news of his arrest broke, but Sharieff, known on Twitter as Crazy Khalil, shared a few photos of the wild night to his page.
He posted a photo of Bieber riding in the yellow Lamborghini with a woman - now identified as model Chantel Jeffries - at the wheel. Bieber apparently switched seats with her later on.

“He put everybody’s lives at risk to try to get a cheap thrill. That’s unacceptable behavior and he was arrested for it," Miami Police Sgt. Bobby Hernandez told the Daily News.
"He basically didn’t want to comply with none of the officers on the scene, questioning every order that they gave him. He wouldn’t take his hands out of his pockets.”
“He was very uncooperative with the officers at the scene, using profanity.”

Bieber failed a field sobriety test "miserably," Hernandez said. "There are five tests – I believe he failed all five of them."
The singer also reportedly admitted to consuming alcohol, prescription drugs and marijuana, according to the police chief.
Khalil Amir Sharieff, who was arrested with Justin Bieber, is arraigned Thursday. His bond was set for $1,000.
He has been charged with DUI, resisting arrest without violence and for driving with an expired driver's license of over six months — from Georgia.
The "Baby" singer began his career in Atlanta, after his YouTube videos gained popularity, and he signed on with Usher in 2009. Then just 15 years old, the singer moved to Georgia with his mother, Pattie Mallette.
"He sort of hit the trifecta of misdemeanors with DUI, resisting arrest and speed exhibition," DUI defense lawyer Trent Copeland, who is not on Bieber's case, told the Daily News.

"Taken together, they all add up to the very real possibility of jail time. He may escape it, but it’s clearly going to be on the table."
“The message prosecutors will want to send is that he can’t go barnstorming around the country, renting exotic cars and drag racing in the streets, putting other lives at risk. That’s not conduct the courts are going to just allow to happen,” Copeland said.
“As far as immigration, there’s very little chance he’d be deported over this. These aren’t considered crimes of moral turpitude. This isn’t burglary, murder or grand theft. Typically, this isn’t something that would get you deported."

Just hours earlier on Wednesday, the singer was seen riding a Segway through Miami streets, and hanging out on the beach with Rapper Lil Scrappy and Bieber's father, Jeremy Bieber.
Jeremy Bieber may have been at the scene where his famous son was nabbed. The older Bieber, 38, was reportedly there to watch his son race - according to a TMZ report.

The teenage heartthrob has been in Miami since Monday with his friends — it was previously reported that he spent $75,000 at the strip club King of Diamonds helping Lil Scrappy celebrate his 30th birthday.
Moreover, authorities in Opa-Locka, Fla., are also investigating the events of his Monday night partying, as it was reported that Bieber and his friends were escorted around by an unauthorized police detail.
The "All That Matters" singer is coming off of a string of questionable antics in recent weeks.
There have been reports that Bieber's team is urging the singer to go to rehab, to deal with an alleged drug addiction — to a codeine mixture known as "sizzurp" and to prescription drugs.
On Jan. 14, Bieber's Calabasas mansion was raided in connection to an egg-throwing incident, in which he reportedly caused $20,000 worth of damage to a neighbor's home. While Bieber came up clean in the raid, his friend LiL Za, 20, was arrested for possession of ecstasy and Xanax.
The singer's behavior has apparently even been rubbing some of his fans the wrong way.
"He's like the male Linday Lohan now," said Sophie Sheehan, 16, of Westchester. "He's just been really irresponsible lately."
The teen said she likes him "a lot less now," despite having attended his concert just last year.
"Just because he's a celebrity it shouldn't make him any less responsible," said Grace Mooney, 16, of Manhattan. "I think he's gotten like a really big head now and he thinks he's invincible because he's got all these fans."
"He can sing, everyone knows he can sing and he's talented, but that doesn't mean you can do whatever you want and act like an idiot," Sheehan added.
