Aaron Paul In Talks With Vince Gilligan About Reprising Role As Jesse Pinkman In 'Better Call Saul'
Lots of great news for Breaking Bad fans this year. First, we learned that Aaron Paul (Jesse Pinkman) would make his debut in a leading role for Need For Speed (out March 14th). More recently, we were blessed with news that Bryan Cranston would be returning to the big screen in a major role for the newly revamped GODZILLA movie.
Over the weekend, it was reported that Aaron Paul is also in serious talks with Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan to reprise his role as Jesse Pinkman, albeit a younger version for the upcoming spin-off, Better Call Saul. The new spin-off series is considered a prequel to Breaking Bad. While there's no official word if Bryan Cranston will return as Walter White, it's been reported that producers Gilligan and Peter Gould approached Cranston for an idea of him making one or two cameo appearances. It is for certain that Walter White's brother-in-law and DEA agent Hank Schrader will not be returning (due to obligations with his new show, Under the Dome).
"Anything Vince is involved with, I'm there. I owe him my entire career. And the idea of jumping into the skin of Jesse Pinkman again in his lighter days — because it's all a prequel — it would be fun," Paul mentioned in an interview with AP News while promoting Need For Speed. Better Call Saul is slated to premiere in November on AMC.
