Lily Allen Admits She's Worried About Receiving A Furious Phone Call From Kanye West After Naming Album Sheezus
VIA: The Hard Out Here singer has named her latest musical effort after the rapper's Yeezus album
Lily Allen is terrified about getting an angry phone call from Kanye West after deciding to name her upcoming album after his latest album, Yeezus.
The Air Balloon singer insisted the name of the record - a parody of the rapper's latest album Yeezus - isn't intended as a joke as his expense, but we're not so sure if he'll see it that way.
Lily told Graham Norton: "It's a confident title choice - and a little nod to Kanye West."
Little nod or not, the feisty 28-year-old has now admitted she's worried about receiving an angry phone call from the perma-moody rapper.
Talking to NovaFM's Fitzy & Wippa in Australia, Lily, who scooped the award for Best Solo Artist at Wednesday night's NME Awards, was asked if she was waiting for an angry call.
"I'm terrified... I thought he'd think it was a diss, but it's totally not a diss, I love Kanye I think he's brilliant," she said.
"He speaks his mind, whether what he's saying is ridiculous or not, he honestly does believe it and I think there's a lot to be said for that.
"In this day and age people are so bland and beige and 'uhuh, yeah, I love everyone and everything and I like, totally don't have a problem with everything', but he does have a problem!"
Last week, the Fear singer hit Twitter to promote her new album, saying: "It's an homage, not a p*** take. #SHEEZUS."
