MLL: "JAY Z Wouldn't Last One Minute On A Lacrosse Field"

VIA: DJ Khaled hit the internets with a potential summer banger with "They Don't Love You No More" featuring Rick Ross, French Montana, and finally JAY Z.

One of the most-talked about lines from the song comes from Hov ("Haters wanna ball, let me tighten up my drawstring/ Wrong sport, boy, you know you soft as a lacrosse team/"); which is being questioned as a subliminal shot towards Drake in response to his multiple digs.

In a written statement to MTV, a Major League Lacrosse spokesperson responded with the following:

Lacrosse is often called the fastest sport on two feet. Players are on the field dodging and shooting balls at over 100 miles per hour.

With that said we don’t think Jay-Z knows what he’s talking about when he calls Lacrosse ‘soft’ I can guarantee you it is anything but a ‘soft’ sport.

Mr. Carter would not last one minute on a lacrosse field during a match and he is more than welcome to come to any of our games and try.

As a fan of pretty much every sport, I have to agree. Those Lacrosse dudes get down! That and the fact that Hov isn't the most athletic person doing it haha.

Sponsors CarMax, Kia, State Farm, Virgin America, AQUAhydrate, Red Bull Wave Goodbye To L.A. Clippers Amid Donald Sterling Mess

Sponsors are abandoning the L.A. Clippers in response to racist and misogynistic comments attributed to owner Donald Sterling.

CarMax, Kia, State Farm, Virgin America, AQUAhydrate and Red Bull have severed their relationships with the team.

All of the companies have released statements.

CarMax

CarMax finds the statements attributed to the Clippers’ owner completely unacceptable. These views directly conflict with CarMax’s culture of respect for all individuals. While we have been a proud Clippers sponsor for 9 years and support the team, fans and community, these statements necessitate that CarMax end its sponsorship

Virgin America

While we continue to support the fans and the players, Virgin America has made thd decision to end its sponsorship with the L.A. Clippers.

Larry Johnson Says Black People Should Start Their Own Basketball League

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Larry Johnson has never been one to hold back when he has something on his mind. He definitely had something on his mind Saturday in the wake of the accusations of racism against Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling. Johnson took to Twitter and fired off a cryptic tweet that seems to suggest an all-black basketball league with all-black ownership should be formed. Johnson, who played 10 seasons in the NBA, including the last five with the Knicks, is no stranger to commenting on issues of race. During the 1999 NBA Finals between the Knicks and San Antonio Spurs, Johnson caused a stir by saying: “We’ve got a lot of rebellious slaves on this (Knicks) team.” When asked if he was referring to his teammates as slaves, Johnson seemed surprised people were confused. “I’ve got to explain that to you? We don’t go with the mainstream,” Johnson said at the time. Johnson has been an executive with the Knicks for the last two years. However, it’s unknown what his role will be under new team president Phil Jackson.
