VIA: The Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant was named NBA MVP on Tuesday afternoon, collecting 119 of-the-125 first place votes. Durant finished the season averaging 32 points, 5.5 assists and 7.4 rebounds per game, while shooting 50% from the field. KD helped led the Thunder to a 59-win season and the No.2 seed in the Western Conference.
Lebron James, who beat out Durant for MVP in 2012 and 2013, was the only other player to receive a first place vote (he got six). LBJ also received one third place vote- from Chris Sheridan–who had the Clippers’ Blake Griffin in second.
The final order went: Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Blake Griffin, Joakim Noah and James Harden.
