VIA: Hov is firing back! In a new remix, Jay Z referenced one of Kanye’s song, and it definitely wasn’t in a good way. Could this be his response to Kanye completely dropping Jay Z’s name from his song not once but twice in the past few weeks?
Kanye West, 36, cut out Jay-Z‘s name from his hit song “Cold” during his performance at the X Games on June 7, then again at his concert at Bonnaroo June 13! So it’s no surprise that Jay is now dissing him right back in a brand new remix used to promote the World Cup. The song “Jungle” has a line that sure sounds like a reference to Jay’s ex-BFF! On a new remix of “Jungle” by X Ambassadors, Jay raps all about the World Cup and then throws some serious shade!
“I am Godzilla of these favelas, new God flow,” he raps. In case you didn’t know, “New God Flow” is the name of Kanye’s 2012 hit that he actually played at Jay’s Made in America festival.
This may just be a response to Ye’s recent disses. Twice in a row now, he’s changed around the words of his song to exclude Jay Z. “Lucky I ain’t had Jay drop him from the team,” are the original lyrics in “Cold,” but he just skipped over the name completely. Then he completely changed the lyrics to “Blood on the Leaves.”
The original lyrics are: “I don’t give a damn if you used to talk to Jay Z. He ain’t with you, he with Beyonce, you need to stop actin lazy.” But he just left out “Jay Z,” and changed “lazy” or “crazy!”
A little intense right?
Even though Jay Z reportedly gave Kim Kardashian and Kanye a bottle of Chianti, dipped in gold with a diamond cork, Kanye doesn’t seem happy that the couple decided to completely ditch the lavish wedding. After the wedding, however, a source close to Ye told HollywoodLife.com that he would have married Kim without any friends around, because it was all about her.
“All the people who were there were supposed to be there!” the source said. “And those who we’re not, well, Kanye couldn’t care less. He could have married Kim with North[West] looking on from her stroller as the only guest and it wouldn’t have mattered. He’s finally got his soulmate, his true love and he’s living happily ever after.”
