These Are The 50 Most-Watched Shows Of The 2014-15 Season
VIA: Earlier this week, we told you about how NBC technically “won” the 2014-15 season, ratings-wise, thanks almost entirely to the overwhelming popularity of Sunday Night Football. Not to further rain on their parade, where the deflated floats of Ross Geller and Carla Tortelli have been permanently locked in Veronica’s Closet, but of the 10 most popular shows this season, six are on CBS, followed by two for NBC (Sunday Night Football and NFL Sunday Pre-Kick, which barely counts) and one for Fox (Empire). The first ABC series, Scandal, clocks in at 17.
A few other notes:
1. The Big Bang Theory could run for 26 seasons, and it would always be stupefyingly popular.
2. The highest rated new show not named Empire was Madam Secretary. Ask your mom.
3. How many of these series do you actually watch? Not including sports (which brings the number down to 45), I only regularly watch five. Unless CSI: Cyber GIFs count, then it’s six.
4. Modern Family is still a hit, but in Season 3, it was ranked No. 15; Season 4, No. 18; Season 5, No. 19. This last season was its sixth, and it’s down to No. 24. People aren’t as into “Mitch and Cam argue about another simple misunderstanding” as they used to be.
5. A BIG BANG THEORY REPEAT IS MORE POPULAR THAN BOB’S BURGERS.
